Policy development

Changing the food system to benefit health and food sovereignty takes more than most political parties would commit to in a manifesto. It requires long-term thinking and planning, a firm hand and incremental goals.

The Food Policy Institute builds long-term strategies to help lawmakers look into the future at what is possible and what deliverables look like for voters, as well as moving food and farming policy in the right direction.

Round table events

Bringing together politicians, thought leaders and sector stakeholders to discuss the state of play, current trajectories, potential solutions and delivery possibilities is essential for creating an environment of trust and collegiate enthusiasm.

Drawing from home-grown best practice and international trends and by analysing how other countries have tackled and solved specific food sector issues, we can foster change for good.

Independence

The Food Policy Institute is independent of government, of lobbying organisations and companies.

Founded in the principles of doing the right thing for future generations, we believe that only through true independence and without a corporate agenda can we offer a perspective that benefits everyone.
